I’m Asian-American and I’M PROUD!

Okay wow hi hello.

It’s been so long since I sat at a table with my laptop on here typing away about my travels. IT WAS AN ACCIDENT. I unintentionally took about a-year-and-a-half long hiatus…BUT I’M BACK! And hopefully I will be more active about posting on here this year (even though half of this year is already gone). It’s a great way for me to be able to look back on all the places I have been to and everything that I have eaten. (Who doesn’t like food pics?) Food makes me happy.

So, welcome to my public diary; A life update:
2019 WAS WILD. It started pretty high and then a bunch of downs and ups and loops and finally ended with a low…Having to deal with a family member’s death is never easy, especially when you’re living half way around the world and had to take an emergency leave from work to fly back to your family. That time really made me think a lot about my future and reconsider it: Should I continue working and living in South Korea? I really love it here, I’m comfortable. Or should I move back home to be closer with my family? I really do love my family, they’re my forever home.

And then losing another family member due to COVID-19…this life really sucks. It’s almost the end of May 2020 now…and I’m hoping everything will get better soon. Sooner than later would be nice. How is everyone else’s 2020 going? I hope everyone is staying safe, healthy, and sane!

It’s probably a terrible time to return back on here now since the whole world’s attention is on COVID-19, and traveling around this time is not a good idea 🙁

Also, the situation dealing with racism in America right now is very heartbreaking, sad, and tiring. Do your research and educate yourself. Do your part to make a change!

I still hope to inspire you to plan a trip somewhere, to travel and experience different cultures even if it’s just exploring the city right next to you when it is safe to do so, obviously!! I think the most rewarding life experience is to discover and learn something new and be more open-minded.

Treat people with love and kindness ♡

Sincerely,
Amy♡
