About Me

Hi! My name is Amy, and my husband has dubbed me the Traveling Web Designer.

The Traveling Web Designer

Travel Blogger + Web Designer = Traveling Web Designer

I am always dreaming of traveling around the world. This dream first sparked when I went on a family vacation to Canada. The atmosphere and vibe felt different from the United States. I loved seeing the diverse architecture and sceneries there. And that is when my 12-year-old self decided to travel the world and see as many countries as possible!

Fast forward to my first trip abroad without my family, I flew to South Korea and Ireland as part of my college studies. As soon as I returned to the U.S.A. and graduated college, I moved to South Korea and worked as an English teacher. I have about five years of experience in the land of K-pop. Feel free to ask me any questions about my time as an expat in South Korea!

During my time in South Korea, I had the chance to explore neighboring countries in Asia. Make sure to check out some of my stories on my website!

I love exploring and learning about different food, cultures, and everything in between about a place. I don’t only like to do the popular touristy stuff but also take (safe) detours and experience the local life. Slow travel is my preference, as it allows me to experience local life more authentically. One week or even two weeks is not long enough for me to be more than a tourist.

I’m here to give you travel tips, inspiration, and show you the hidden gems that locals would know. I want to help other solo female travelers explore the world safely and affordably!

When I am not writing or creating content about my travels, I help fellow creative entrepreneurs like myself with their websites. Check out my design studio at amyhangin.studio

Read my travel journal and learn about me through my travels! I hope I inspire you to go out there and explore the world!

I also enjoy sharing more travel content and random things in life on my Instagram account, @amyhangin. You can check out more travel, food, music, and lifestyle content over there. If you’re interested in my content and would like to support me, you can make a donation below.
